What type of doctors does NZMedics recruit?
We recruit all levels of doctors from junior house officers through to registrars and consultants. We also recruit general practitioners for urban placements. Our international advertising campaign focuses on those countries where medical professionals are most likely to meet the Medical Council of NZ's policy for registration and who provide medical services in a similar environment.
How long can I get a doctor for?
You can request a doctor for any duration that you may require. We have a database of doctors who are seeking short term locum work as well as those who are seeking long term or even permanent positions. There is no restriction on what you can request. NZMedics will work with you to find a solution that works.
What about the registration and immigration process?
At NZMedics we provide a seamless and professional service to you. NZMedics completes pre-checks on all our doctors to ensure they meet Medical Council policy prior to sending them to you for consideration. All registration and immigration queries are dealt with by NZMedics, plus we will keep you fully informed along the way.
How soon can I get a doctor from NZMedics?

What if things don’t work out with the doctor?
NZMedics thoroughly screens all potential candidates through a series of interviews and reference checking. We pay particular attention to the importance of ‘best fit’ and match a doctors requests to the locationa nd organisation that fits best.
